Since the ability to express consent was compromised, intercourse under this weekend's.. "conditions" can fall under some countries' definition of sexual assault.

I'm well aware I am at the age where a woman is most likely to start a family. Therefore the precinct would be taking a risk to allow further upward mobility in my career were I to become pregnant. My role as a mother would jeopardize many cases where I am the senior acting officer, and would require a stand in Lieutenant during my maternity leave. In short, placing a woman at a rank higher than my current position could loss the police station much time and money. I have been made aware of this the past three times in the last two years while my peers have advanced beyond me.

I have no illusions about my capabilities- at some point in a pregnancy I would be deemed unfit to serve. Were that period to be brief, many have expressed additional doubts someone with children should hold lofty and public positions. I have no intention of retiring from the force to raise children, yet that has been the route presented to me as my only option as a woman. Surely if I remain childless for another 5 years that would indeed be a pacifying gesture to the precinct that I have no intention of leaving the station to start a family. Yet that option seems wholly unfair.

I'm not saying a child is in my immediate plans. Indeed with the return of certain career criminals on top of my usual workload, I don't foresee an opportunity where my duties as a detective would allow me much free time to spend with them. But Kanji would be a constant presence in their lives, so I doubt they would want for companionship. In addition, having my parents pass away at a young age, I would likely defer to Kanji's decisions on a variety of executive decisions as parents. Certainly without him it's unlikely I would even consider a child.

I'm sorry, this post seems to have become quite long. I think I missed having a place to put my thoughts, even if they are currently long-winded.

To maintain public awareness, I will use this entry to inform the community there was a theft last night. Around 8pm, the perpetrator scaled the wall of Nascosto Court. Once there, they fled the scene with a single targeted item. While the police were not called, I happened to be in the area and witnessed the thief's escape.

The criminal posted a notice they intended to pursue this particular item, but unfortunately the police were not asked to assist. If you receive a similar notice from "Kaitou Jeanne", please notify the proper authorities immediately so we may bring this person to justice.

Has anyone seen Rise? I got a message on my phone she heard Nanako-chan's voice, and she's not at the apartment.. Kanji and I will be out looking for her, however I can be reached by phone if you have any information on her whereabouts. Thank you.

Kanji, in addition to repeating my request that you do not make clothing for me without my consent, I'm sorry to note your craftsmanship has gone down extensively.

Whilst embarrassing, I suppose I should be thankful this experience was largely harmless. Rise, I'm glad our quarantine worked... for the most part.

Recent events have prevented me from making a post until now. I suppose a full update on my life will have to wait until I have managed to narrow my current job search. While I enjoy school, I'm not accustomed to this life. Until recently I had been quite used to working full time with school attendance only at a minimum, so becoming a full time student has been strange for me. Even in Inaba I felt our work to solve the Midnight Channel mystery was as compelling as a career choice. While there is is undoubtedly many mysteries afoot in Desai, I feel we are unable to unravel them as we have been able to in the past. However, that is the often the same as in general detective work. You handle few cases over long periods of time with the potential to solve very little possibly save even less people. However, if there is even the smallest chance I would like to help.

ah... I'm sorry, I've been speaking with members of the police force to obtain some sort of internship or perhaps a clerical position... I suppose my enthusiasm for those such interviews has spilled out into this entry.

Finally, it is unwise to discuss sensitive information over the network like this, however please be advised on the recent transit phenomena- Outgoing traffic from the Travel Agency is blocked, but incoming traffic is uninterrupted.

I apologize for any trouble I may have cause others during the latest debacle. I currently have no new facts to illuminate... whatever may have happened to us over the previous week. However, as much of our lives were twisted inexplicably, I understand if these items may have materialized in our apartment as part of it.
